Our Passion

A Simple Church Seeking His Presence, Principles, Prophetic, and Power

Christianity started out simple and is returning to simplicity.

Simplicity of relationships with one other and God. We call this simple church.

We believe that, as salvation is simple to understand, the rest of Christianity should be too.

We have a simple structure – the simpler the better. Busyness can often be the enemy of becoming.
We have 4 desires – His Presence, Principles, Prophetic, and Power.

We love His Presence because we want to walk with our bridegroom Jesus.

We walk out His Principles because we want to walk how He walks.

We want to be Prophetic because we want to hear the bridegroom’s voice.

We want to be Powerful because we want to do the things Jesus does with the same power He does them.

We want to have methods of reproducing simple Christianity to others so that they walk simply in His presence, principles, prophetically, and powerfully. This reproduction starts and ends in relationship with each other.

Our definition of a successful church is when people are born again Christians, walk in His presence, and live by His principles in all areas of their lives.

Our Simple Structure - Individuals, Small & Large Groups

We love individuals. The primary purpose of the individual is to live in the King's presence and walk in His principles listening to His voice.

We also love getting together in small groups and large groups. We believe it is impossible to grow and become mature disciples without both size groups.

We believe the small group is for encouragement, discipleship, and family. Family is where everyone matters, and everyone is a part.

We believe large groups are for worship and teaching that increases people’s faith to live out their purpose. The criteria for success isn't number of seats filled or decisions made, but did the Lord show up and did we respond correctly. The large worship gathering is primarily for believers, for people that are growing in their relationship with Jesus. When the church all comes together it is a foretaste of when we will be unified in the future fulfillment of the Kingdom.

We are often asked why we don’t use the large group gathering as a primary way to reach out to unbelievers. When the church worships Jesus in the presence of the Holy Spirit it is attractive to a great number of people. His presence is enough on its own to make it the primary reason to meet. Jesus is worthy of this type of worship. We believe evangelism happens primarily with individuals talking to other individuals.

In all things church cannot be about programs and events that we all attend. Programs and events are necessary but they should only provide an opportunity for the interaction between people and between people and God.
Presence - The Importance of Being in His

God’s presence is our number one goal. We started in relationship with Him in the garden of Eden and it will all end walking beside Him as His bride in relationship.
While many Americans seem quite satisfied with weekend church as usual, a brief one-hour respite in their altogether hectic week, this is not enough for us. Rather than continue to simply go through the motions of linear, pre-planned regimen church, with thirty minutes of this and twenty minutes of that, when we gather for worship we prefer to give the Holy Spirit room to move and craft His direction and His message for each gathering, no matter how long that takes, or how many turns in the road. We believe a person’s greatest need is to meet God…repeatedly!

The pollsters now say that among people who regularly attend worship services at Christian churches, 50% have not experienced God’s presence in their lives at anytime in the past 12 months and maybe as many as 1/3 say they have never experienced His presence.

This is why we put such a premium on spending time in waiting on Our Heavenly Father in each of our group meetings. We are constantly looking for Him, seeking His face, and forever lingering in that place that welcomes His presence. Paying the price of remaining unencumbered by time constraints and preplanned structures is worth it. We are learning to wait on Him in ways that really seem to attract and please Him. We want to know our bridegroom now and not wait to some distance time frame!

While most believers gatherings in the West are highly structured, both thematically and structurally, we believe biblical evidence shows that the New Testament church was much more organic and free-flowing, and more often than not, led by apostolic/prophetic teams in a given geographical region as opposed to the westernized political clergy system.

At any of these worship times, you may see people actively worshiping by raising hands; bowing or laying prostrate on the floor; dancing in place or around the sanctuary; painting; waving banners; shouting; even blowing whistles or shofars. The celebration can be both party-like and deeply intimate. You may hear prayers; prophetic words; songs; words of instruction; encouragement; exhortation; even poetry, all in keeping with I Corinthians 14:25-26. And, before the gathering time is over the Holy Spirit always gives direction and freedom to minister healing, deliverance, impartation and empowerment.

We are constantly making room in our gatherings for the experimentation of something newer, something fresher, and something more in keeping with what the Father is showing us in this day. And it is okay that these new ways require some getting used to, some adaptations of old and new worship styles, and a great deal of stretching past our comfort zones. Tracking with the God of the unpredictable is often very uncomfortable to those of us from the more traditional backgrounds.

Reproducing Other Christians through Relationships

Our goal is to raise up disciples of Jesus who love Him simply, purely, prophetically, and powerfully! As these disciples mature they will become mature in the areas God has called them and become leaders. They will then turn around and raise up other disciples. This process is done through relationship with each other. The church’s main job is to provide the right atmosphere for this process to happen and provide tools for equipping. When this is happening then we have a successful church.

All of this requires a new kind of training. Years of sitting in traditional church have not prepared us to grow and mature as disciples and leaders. We have been taught to come, to sit, to watch, and to listen to what others have prepared. We want to provide a place where people are trained with information but more importantly obtain skills from ministering under the mentoring of a more mature Christian. Our training is centered first on relationship with a mentor followed by helping each person to grow in character and competency.
